Needs of the Many builds tools and shared infrastructure for plural people. PluralBridge is our application for plural people. Our separate Data Recovery Project investigates how people can extract their own Simply Plural data from phones and backups, including information that standard exports may leave behind.

We also participate in the discussion around PluralPort, a proposed shared format for moving System information between applications. We advocate for a format that can preserve the depth of that information, including details an individual app may not understand, and for public governance of the standard.

Software for plural people holds deeply personal information: members, names, pronouns, relationships, histories, and choices about who can see them. Here we write about recovering and preserving that information, designing tools that respect consent and privacy, and giving people reliable ways to move between applications.
